Why start a site like this - I’m sure my husband has asked himself this a hundred times, but he’s been very supportive. I love reading and walking bookstores and book sales and just all things books. I love it. Walking around a bookstore for hours is one of my happy places. I wanted to cultivate a community that can talk about books, buy books, and find a sliver of joy. 

I love meeting new bibliophiles, and while in person I can be very quiet, in this type of setting I hope to express my love of books. My go to genres are usually Mystery, Thriller, and Horror, but in the last 10ish years, I’ve really started branching out and will read almost anything!

I have so many favorite authors, but one that often comes to mind, Anne Rice. I got into her books at an early age, thanks to my Dad! I think being able to get through Rice’s books gave me the confidence to be able to read anything! I don’t want this list to get too long, but just to name some others: Stephen King, Ernest Hemingway, Harlan Coben, Lev Grossman, Taylor Jenkins Reid, the list could go on and on and on.

My to-read shelf seems to grow daily. Sometimes I add it because I like the cover, sometimes I see a friend reading something, or a book from an author I’ve read catches my eye (new or new-to-me!). I will almost always continue on with a series once I start it - even if it’s years later!

Besides reading, I also love gaming and traveling. Cozy games like The Sims 4 and Stardew Valley are some of my favorites. I also love to travel, any beach being my favorite destination. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and kids!
